The answer is marketability.
ABA practitioners know that certification is the key to job growth and security. There is a growing need for well-trained board certified professionals in behavior analysis to work or consult in schools, early intervention programs, day programs, residential settings and home-based programs. The career options are limitless.
Florida Tech is one of the few universities in the United States to offer a live, in-class professional development program in ABA. In addition, Florida Tech is one of even fewer universities in the country to offer an online program. Instruction is held in multiple locations throughout the United States as well as via distance learning. With the minimum of at least a bachelor’s degree, individuals completing Florida Tech's ABA professional development program will have a competitive edge when seeking career opportunities in the applied behavior field.

“I had been looking to pursue certification through a number of different universities. However, costs, travel requirements and time frames seemed to make it unlikely. I am fortunate to be working with some graduate students from Florida Tech who gave me the information on this class. I enjoy Jose's (Dr. Jose Martinez-Diaz, Program Director) teaching style and materials provided. My goal of becoming a BCABA is now a reality thanks to this program! Thank you.”
